Skiing Area Brand
Up the mountain and downhill fun! 53 km of piste, 26 slopes, 13 lifts
The mountain railways Brand and the skiing area Brandnertal – this means 53 lovely km of ski runs on 26 curvy/carvy slopes as well as 13 lifts with no waiting times.
From the winter season 2006/2007, a fully automatic artificial snow-making equipment guarantees winter sports fun, even if they do economise with the white matter up in Heaven.
The hotel Scesaplana is located only 5 walking minutes from the valley station (ski bus station right in front of the hotel).
Wolfgang Huber takes care of the ideal equipment for the slopes (he has been the service person of the German national skiing team) with his very personal "Super Ski Service" in the hotel.
The skiing area Brand in detail:
- 13 mountain railways and lifts with a transport capacity of 16,543 persons per hour
- more than 50 km of pistes (27 blue, 23 red, 3 black runs)
- 26 pistes and slopes from 904 up to 2,000 m sea level
- 40 snow cannons taking care of guaranteed snow
- 30 km of cross-country ski tracks
- 6 mountain restaurants with sun terraces and umbrella bars in the breathtaking setting of the Brandnertal mountains
- the snow-express connects the ski areas of Brand and Bürserberg
- children up to 8 years free of charge
- per family, only 1 child pays, siblings up to 15 years free of charge
New Dorfbahn, new Panoramabahn “Burtschasattel” from 2007/2008
Standstill
means a step backward – considering this saying, following projects
for the winter season 2007/2008 are planned, which will further upgrade the
skiing area Brandnertal:
- The new Dorfbahn: a modern single-cable-turnaround-railway with 8 cabins to replace the Niggenkopfbahn, which will carry you in only 3 minutes right into the skiing area to the valley station of the Gulmabahn and to the valley station of the
- new Panoramabahn “Burtschasattel”, which will in future connect the areas Brand and Bürserberg with a free cable area of 1.5 km in a spectacular way.
- The new Palüdbahn: a modern 6-seater chair lift rushes you up to the Palüd, part of the Brand skiing area.
- Further extension of the automatic snow-making system in Palüd
